A huge congratulations to Marine and Stuart who both recently passed their viva voce exams. You have both been a great asset to the group and we wish you all the best for the future. Marine will next be going to Japan to be a PDRA and Stuart has a PDRA position at the University of Durham, UK.

Members of the Fairlamb group recently attended the RSC Dalton Conference at the University of Warwick along side many others from the University of York. Everyone had a fantastic time networking, seeing some great oral presentations, socialising, and many presented posters too. Our very own Jake Walder won one poster prize along with four others from the York. A huge congratulation to Jake and all the other winners.
Recently, Prof. Fairlamb has contributed to a paper outlining the acceleration of UK science with AI. The paper can be read by clicking on the following link: A New National Purpose: Accelerating UK Science in the Age of AI.
Prof. Fairlamb has also been interviewed by Scientific Computing World about designing new lab robots for chemistry. The interview can be read at the following link: Designing New Lab Robots.
Three articles have been recently published which are available to read. These have been contributions from many members of the Fairlamb group, but also with collaborations from other researchers in industry, Bayer Ag, crop science and Johnson Matthey.
